The Harrison County History of Coal Museum offers a comprehensive look at historic and modern coal-mining practices.

The Harrison County History of Coal Museum, also known as the Puskarich Coal Museum, offers a comprehensive look at historic and modern coal-mining practices in Southeast Ohio. Because of its location in the heart of Ohio coal country, the museum chronicles an essential feature of the region as a whole. Several displays illustrate the origins of the mineral, underground and surface mining operations. The exhibits are enhanced with artifacts and letters from local coal miners.

As we encounter questions about energy and fuel extraction today, it is important to learn where we have been, and the Harrison County History of Coal Museum offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the past.
